West Hampton Dunes Village Trustee Charles W. Brown Jr. has tragically passed away.

For the past 18 years, Charles W. Brown has served as a village trustee/deputy mayor of the Village of West Hampton Dunes.  Charlie was one of the founding fathers of the village and the first trustee to pass away as a sitting board member.  His dedication and devotion to this community and it's people will be missed by all.

Charlie, along with his wife, Renee, founded C.W. Brown, Inc., a general contracting firm located in Armonk. He has been the president of the company since its inception in 1984. Focusing more recently on business development, he became an established figure within the Westchester County business community. Along with being chairman of the Board of the Business Council of Westchester, he was an active member of the Board of Economic Development for the County of Westchester, Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA), the Board of Trustees at St. Luke’s School, the Business Development Board at Mahopac National Bank, the Construction Management Advisory Committee at Utica College and a great friend to those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Charlie was a Westchester Community College graduate and foundation board member. His most recent accomplishment was gaining Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum Certification for his Armonk office.

In addition to his wife Renee, Charlie is survived by his daughters Amy, Kimberly and Molly.
